Carla helped develop and launch Family Assets, a CDFI (Community Development Financial Institution) focused on creating economic opportunity for low-to-moderate-income residents in greater Bridgeport through homelessness prevention, asset building, financial literacy, entrepreneurial education, and access to savings, credit and capital. Operation Hope provides housing, emergency food and shelter, together with comprehensive support and services, to help individuals who are hungry, homeless or at risk.
